Joel from Vigilantelope wins Asian Pop Idol and features in Youthcentral
"...coming out victorious with a prize pack of DVDs and CDs was Joel Tito, who was a crowd pleaser from the outset." Youthcentral.com
Some of you may already know that a week or so ago, Joel from Vigilantelope entered Asian Pop Idol with the Japanese Enka Classic, Yosaku, AND WON. A reporter from Youthcentral, a government-run site for young people in Australia, covered the event. (Click here to see the good work that Youthcentral does in the community.) The article, which includes both references to, and photos of Joel on the day, can be found here.
Big congratulations to Joel on the win, and we will very shortly be uploading footage of the historic event both here and on youtube. In the mean time, click here to view a clip of the song Yosaku as performed by a professional.
"Joel Tito also drew some big cheers and got the crowd excited with his Japanese song, which he performed wearing a red kimono." Youthcentral.com
